If you intend to carry puppies, the capacity of the kennel is not a problem. But if your dog is heavy, the kennel has to be sturdy.
Ventilation is another important factor in travel kennel. For long hours, your pet has to stay comfortably inside the kennel and hence, ventilation should be proper. Side holes have to present on the walls easing flow of air. Locks are much more important than other features. You should be able to remove the locks from outside easily but your pet should not be able to break open the lock from inside. The doors should be made of steel frame locking your pets safe inside.
